International Film Festival of India (IFFI) Goa

The International Film Festival of India (IFFI) Goa is held annually in Goa and conducted jointly by the Directorate of Film Festivals (under Ministry of Information and Broadcasting) and the state Government of Goa. It aims to provide a common platform for cinemas of the world to project the excellence of the film art.

The 1st edition of IFFI was organised in Mumbai from 24 January to 01 February 1952 and was subsequently held in various cities of India. Starting from the 35th edition in 2004, it moved to its permanent venue in Goa,

The 52nd International Film Festival of India opened on 20 November and closed on 28 November 2021. Due to Covid-19 pandemic, it was held in a hybrid format, combining online and face-to-face participation.

The main venue is in Panaji, which is at a distance of around 17.8 kms or 40 min drive from the tourist hotspot of Baga. You can stay at the Sugar Plum Hotels and easily travel to the IFFI events location as well as nearby tourist destinations like Calangute, Anjuna, Vagator, Candolim, etc.
